Child 3 Years old shot on Eastside of Detroit
(Detroit) Gun violence today is senseless. A three year old has been shot in the chest, leg and arm. The child was rushed to the hospital and I am not sue what condition the child was in.... We have to do better especially when it comes to our children... Stop putting them in violent situation PLEASE!
Gunman Looking for Professor at Wayne State University.
(Detroit) Today a gunman held about 40 students hostage because he was looking for a Professor that he was upset with. It is told that students were under the tables in a classroom praying for their lives because the gunman said that he would start shooting people unless the professor come and face him. The gunman has gotten away and WSU police along with DPD has urged students to keep quiet for this is under investigation. No one was hurt.
DPS board members controls academics....BUT NOTHING ELSE!
(Detroit) Today Wayne County Circuit Court Judge John Murphy ruled that DPS Board members are in control of the academic for the school system but thay are not allowed to take back the 15 schools that has been transferred to the State. EFM Roy Roberts still has control over the finances. Members on the board voted last week to return the 15 school back to the authority of DPS since Public Act 4 was suspended. This is clearly a power struggle between those elected and those appointed. The main concern should be educating the students. No wonder the school system is failing because the leaders are acting as if their office is recess. My opinion is allow the EFM to control finances while the Board figure out what will be best for DPS students academically.
This fight has been ongoing for years now and it is time for adults to start acting like adults and leave the child like behavior behind. So what the State has control over 15 schools! Let them handle those schools while we produce scholars from ours... Power is a serious thing and some people JUST CAN"T handle it.

(Detroit): Firefighters in the City of Detroit protested in front of the Mayor's Mansion due to the closure of fire stations in the City. Due to those closures, firefighters will become laid off and demoted and some say that is unfair to the citizens of Detroit. I guess since Detroit has no lights and now less operating fire houses, the City of Detroit will be lit up by the raging fires of the many abandon homes. Many protesters were seen carrying posters of Dave Bing and I noticed the "HITLER" mustache was drawn on many of them. Some of you may laugh but this is a serous matter. Detroit is in some forehead high Shit and our leadership is flying all around it.
Paul Ryan's Congressional Achievements
Paul Ryan has passed TWO (2) Laws into Congress in his 13 year span.... What are those laws you ask? July 2000 that renames a post office in his district. Thanks to Ryan, the post office on 1818 Milton Ave. in Janesville, Wis., is now known as "Les Aspin Post Office Building."The other time Ryan saw one of his bills become law was in December 2008, with legislation to change the way arrows (as in bows and arrows) are hit with an excise tax. Specifically, his bill amended the Internal Revenue Code to impose a 39-cent tax per arrow shaft, instead of a 12.4 percent tax on the sales price. The bill also "includes points suitable for use with arrows in the 11 percent excise tax on arrow parts and accessories."... This is a candidate for the Republican Vice President of the United States.
Ryan has come up with proposals to privatize Social Security and replace Medicare with a voucher program for seniors. On May 21, 2008, Ryan introduced H.R. 6110, The Path to Prosperity: A Roadmap for America's Future Act of 2008, commonly referred to as The Ryan Budget. This proposed legislation outlined changes to entitlement spending, including a controversial proposal to replace Medicare with a voucher program for seniors. The Roadmap found only eight sponsors and did not move past committee.
If he could only pass two minor bills in Congress after 13 years, what can he POSSIBLY do for America in 4?

Detroit Mayor Bing wants to "Turn the Streets Lights Back On"
(Detroit): Mayor Bing now has a plan to "TURN ON THE LIGHTS" in the City of Detroit. A City that has been dark for so many years; since State Rep Shanelle Jackson was a little girl. Now please don't get all excited now, because this has said to be a 3 year plan. Also, he will not "LIGHT UP ALL DETROIT" just the part that is located near schools (NOT THE CLOSED ONES) and "major throughfares" (a road from one place to another, esp a main road). Now it has been said that Mayor Bing wants "IMMEDIATE" repair of 3300 lights including the stretch on W Outer Drive near the Southfield Freeway and West McNichols; Lafayette between I-375 and St. Aubin, and Greenfield between Fenkell and Warren (High Voting Areas). Those outages are expected to be repaired by November(the Start of City Elections 2013) at a cost of $614,325 (From what BUDGET????) Now Don't forget about the "Lighting Authority" you know that group of people that is going to control the lighting department in Detroit starts up in November so how is our "brilliant" (and I use that term loosely) Mayor going to pull this decision making effort off without the consent of the authority? We shall find out in November, but until then :)
